Regency wheat

Regency is a premium quality, autumn/winter sown bread wheat,
bred by Crop & Food Research at Lincoln (under the code number 4134). It is recommended for sowing in Canterbury autumn bread wheat regions.

Foundation for Arable Research (FAR) and Arable Cultivar Evaluation (ACE) trials indicate that Regency is consistently one of the highest yielding premium bread wheats. It has good resistance to most common wheat leaf diseases, and produces a grain of good bread milling quality.

LEE STUART GRIFFIN:
In spring 1987 four-year-old Lee Griffin drowned in a swimming pool accident. In the same spring his father made the cross from which Regency was selected. This new wheat cultivar is dedicated to his memory.
